Free Initial Consultation 

In the last 10 years of researching and developing natural products and methods I have been able to provide general product consultations to hundreds and hundreds of people at no charge. In addition, I usually find that I can provide follow up consultations at no charge as well.

It is important for me, Dr. David Wheeler as a Chiropractic Physician licensed in Oregon, to define my relationship to people who contact me for a free consultation. When conducting free consultations that are of an educational nature about my products, I do not consider people to be my patients. I can provide a substantial amount of information about the products I have researched and developed in a free, educational consultation, but I cannot make a diagnosis and provide a treatment program without a person becoming a patient.

There are two ways you can enter into a doctor patient relationship with me.  One is to come to my Oregon office for an appointment and the other is to interact through telephone and email with a high level of detail in terms of information gathering.

The most effective in terms of being able to offer all treatment modalities is If you come to my office I can provide diagnosis and treatment for disease within the scope of my practice in terms of doctor patient relationship. The scope of practice as defined by the Oregon Board of Chiropractic includes: physical medicine, joint mobilization and adjustment therapy, physical therapy modalities, clinical nutrition, prescribing dietary supplements, prescribing homeopathy, prescribing OTC ( over the counter drugs), minor surgery (if board certified) and obstetrics (if board certified) and the compounding of some products.

With telephone consultations and treatment, I use natural supplements (dietary supplements) food based supplements, homeopathy and nutritional advice about dietary changes. The difference between this kind of consultation and a free consultation is all about gathering enough information from someone to make a diagnosis and treatment with the just mentioned approaches. I do this through verbal interaction and having a person fill out a questionnaire that can be returned by fax or email . It may also be advisable in some cases to have healthcare records forwarded to me. Also, the more detailed consultation and treatment is not free in comparison to more generalized consultations whereby I provide health advice but not with diagnosis and treatment that establishes the doctor patient relationship.

In other words, a free consultation is educational but without establishing a doctor patient relationship to make a diagnosis and provide treatment. I can establish a doctor patient relationship by telephone and email if I gather enough information. I must also in each case determine if it is in the best interest of the patient to take a person on as a patient in the telephone and or email environment without having them come to my office for an appointment. With more detailed consultations, I do charge fees for my time.

In addition, I also want to explain to those people who decide to contact me that my focus is on the holistic components that most people are missing in their daily regime for developing great health. Therefore, my focus is less about trying to determine and endless array of specific remedies or treatments but instead to help people establish the basics for better health on a foundational and holistic level. Even when I interact with people in a doctor patient relationship I still attempt to use holistically oriented remedies and treatments to accomplish most of what is need to bring about healing for any condition.
