Modern Science versus Integrated Science

Many people believe that modern science is the be-all and end-all approach to understanding the natural world. The problem with this approach to understanding what is real versus false about self and the universe is that doing so leans more to the false than the true.

True knowledge based on an integrated approach to science is about combining both ancient wisdom and modern science into one single understanding about reality. This means that ancient spiritual and modern scientific understanding about the universe are complimentary in order to arrive at a better intellectual understanding and a direct perceptual experience about reality from the stars we view overhead down to the tiniest quantum unit that is formative to all energy and matter.

Integrated science is meeting the same level of challenge that the experimental model met at the beginning of the Western European Renaissance. Prior to the use of the experimental method that also saw the advent of a more sophisticated use of mathematics there were no scientists, but instead natural philosophers. Even Isaac Newton described himself as a natural philosopher, which is someone that still depends on scriptures to develop a complete understanding of what goes in the human body and in the environment as a whole.

However, Newton was on the cusp of what would soon be called science and that he would be called a scientist. Prior to the experimental model natural philosophers understood the world around them based on what had already been stated by those great historical thinkers (such as Plato and Aristotle). A dedicated natural philosopher considered an experiment to test a belief in something as insane. Their attitude was that they already knew what was real and true and it would do no good to apply experiments to test these truths. It is hard for people in the modern world to understand why natural philosophers rejected the experimental model and now this rejection seems insane.

The way to understand the attitude of natural philosophers that were the scientists of their time is to consider the rejection of the integration of ancient wisdom and modern science by modern scientists, which is one and the same as Integrated Science. To a modern scientist the idea that a human being can directly experience the quantum level and higher dimensional levels of vibration and energy that comes from the M-Theory and the String Theory of advanced physics seems insane. It is all about rejecting the next evolving paradigm.

The Integrated Scientist understands that the power of observation is constantly changing everything in the universe and that human beings are changing the outcome of the universe to reach higher levels of complexity simply through the power of observation. Logic is supposed to dominate modern science but in reality it is emotion that does the job. Modern scientists do not like dealing with something that is contrary to the status quo. But neither did the natural philosophers hundreds of years ago.

It isn’t that the experimental model is wrong, but instead what is missing is a clear understanding of the power of observation. This is because the human organism functions more like a quantum entity with unpredictable interconnections that cannot be described in limited time space terms.
