At Fenestra, in February of 2005, we completed a very sophisticated study of 40 different water products for Dr. David Wheeler. This included ready to drink M-Water, concentrated M-Water and Core Water. Both Dr. Wheeler and I agree that the test results provide a brand new discovery when it comes to truly understanding the health benefits of water.

The analytical study had two components: 1) testing for toxins and microorganisms and 2) testing water for a range of eight different properties.

In terms of the first component, it is clear that buyer beware is very important when it comes to bottled water products. Many of the water products tested, including the most pervasive brands as well as glacial water, proved to contain toxins and microorganisms.

In terms of the second component, it is clear there is a direct relationship between the eight water properties tested and the capacity of any given water product to provide cellular hydration. Dr. Wheeler refers to all eight of these water properties being in total alignment as O.H.P. (Optimum Hydration Profile for Water). It is easy to see the relationship between the outcomes for M-Water and Core Water clinical studies and these eight water properties.

It is clear to both Dr. Wheeler and I that if there isn't O.H.P. for any given water product then it cannot possibly provide optimum hydration. Dr. Wheeler’s water products created with the M-Power Aqua Technology all meet O.H.P. standards.

The eight properties of water that make up O.H.P. as an in vitro issue has an interesting correspondence to testing body fluids for their properties as well as other functional attributes of the body. O.H.P. is comprised of eight water properties in a very narrow range in order for any given drinking water to bring about optimum cellular hydration. The body is the same in this regard: the many different functional attributes in the body also exist in very narrow ranges; and to step outside these well defined ranges significantly will ultimately cause death of the organism.

I agree with Dr. Wheeler that most of the properties for O.H.P. should remain confidential. To openly publish all the results of the testing and the complete range of O.H.P. would undoubtedly lead to reverse engineering attempts by other companies and the potential to create more harm than good with a less than complete product.

Based on the fact that I maintain the strictest of confidentiality about all test results, whether in vitro or from clinical studies, I leave it up to clients such as Dr. Wheeler to share whatever information is deemed appropriate. Furthermore, I have a non disclosure agreement with Dr Wheeler as I do with most clients, which makes the issue of disclosing test information totally in the hands of my client. I consider O.H.P. to be intellectual property owned by Dr. David Wheeler.

The two properties that that Dr. Wheeler does disclose from O.H.P. are pH and stored energy. Because he wants to give professionals and the general public some guidance on what water products to take internally, Dr. Wheeler makes it clear that pH must be in a range of 6.5 to 7.2. Outside this range usually means that a water product has been subjected to altering influences or contains too much of a substance in order to facilitate increased cellular hydration (distilled water is the exception to the conditions cited, with a pH usually below 6.5, at least slightly). Stored energy is a more complicated issue, but the more stored energy there is in a water product, as well as compliance with all the other properties of O.H.P., the more any given water product will be supportive of cellular hydration. Finally, it is clear from the tests that I ran for 40 different water products that many are not truly safe to drink. The consumer needs to be very careful in this regard.

Other than M-Water products, there are no others in the world today that meet O.H.P. as a way of determining if the properties of water support optimum hydration. Of course, without clinical studies to determine the biological effect from drinking any water product, including one that met O.H.P., would not be meaningful. Clinical studies are always the dominant issue in evaluating any health product.
