All About Glyconutrients
MPS GOLD^™ 100 is best Glycontrient Product in the World!

In my opinion, the best glyconutrient product in the world today is MPS GOLD^™ 100. This short website page defines some key terms and how my product MPS GOLD^™ 100 is fundamentally different than all other glyconutrient products. I provide some links at the bottom of the page so you can access more detailed information about MPS GOLD^™ products.

The term "glyconutrient" has become popularized in the past few years, mainly because of Mannatech, Inc., with their product Ambrotose^® . I am very familiar with this product as well as other similar products that have become available recently. Glyco means sweet and nutrient is something useful to the body. Therefore, a glyconutrient is a sweet nutrient, or more specifically, a sugar or carbohydrate molecule that is useful to the body. Glyconutrient is a term that has been used by many other people in mainstream and alternative medicine and is directly related to the science of Glycobiology (several Nobel prizes in Chemistry have been awarded for Glycobiology discoveries).

As I point out on this page, Ambrotose^® is based on the so-called eight essential sugar theory. From my perspective this is all about marketing spin and that only two of the eight sugar molecules in Ambrotose^® and other knock off products are  necessary: mannose and galactose. Sometimes people become confused about the fact that a glyconutrient is a "sugar" molecule and confuse the role of key glyconutrients in the body with sugar molecules that contribute energy to the Krebs Cycle responsible for metabolism. The most important glyconutrients found in natural supplements do not break down into simple sugars but remain in their large structures when orally consumed and absorbed into the blood stream. If key glyconutrients taken orally did break down in the gut due to enzyme action, the result would be useless small molecules with no beneficial biological effect. In fact, many medical researchers have commented that taking the right combination of glyconutrients has a blood sugar balancing effect based on their impact on the  immune system and overall cell to cell communication.

The most important glyconutrients are absolutely essential for effective immune system function and overall cellular communication. What defines a healthy immune system is when its cells can communicate with each other effectively to: 1) identify and eliminate non-self (anything that does not belong in the body as "self") and to lower inappropriate inflammation. Most of the impact on natural supplement glyconutrients has to do with the immune system.

With Ambrotose^® and other similar products, there is an emphasis on providing many different glyconutrients from a variety of plant sources. The theory is that your body requires, in natural supplement form taken orally, many different glyconutrients. Some of the companies that emphasize taking many different glyconutrient sugars say that there are "eight", with the phrase, "eight essential sugars." This is meant, in my opinion, to key a person into the well known phrase, eight essential amino acids. However, there is no such thing as "eight essential sugar molecules" that are required in the same way that a person must consume protein based on the "eight essential amino acids."

In my opinion, all the current medical research points to the dominance of two sugar molecules to support healthy immune system function and overall cellular communication: Mannose and Galactose. The only source of Mannose and Galactose in a form usable by the body when taken as an oral supplement, is when these two molecules are derived from Aloe Vera gel (also called a GalactoMannan).

The only product that emphasizes Mannose and Galactose from Aloe Vera gel and has molecular weight assays proving its healing efficacy is
